Application of Microwave Beam Refraction in Inhomogeneous Plasma Interferometry

Section: Plasmas and Gases
Original Author's Text: Ukrainian

Abstract: The applicability of plasma interferometry with inclined microwave rays for measuring the plasma density in different layers has been studied both analytically and numerically. Plasma density profiles consisting of a single peak or several peaks with the variable number and radial positions are proposed to verify the method. By considering the specific features of the refraction, a possibility of using the inclined-ray interferometry of plasma is analyzed.

Key words: interferometry, plasma, radial distribution function, refraction, plasma density.
